Chiropractic Examination

Chiropractic care requires specific chiropractic examination procedures to determine the appropriate chiropractic treatment plan for each patient. The goal is to determine subluxations of the spinal and musculoskeletal system. A subluxation is an abnormal joint, either in the spine or musculoskeletal system. The subluxation complex is the combined effect of the subluxation and the connected ligaments, tendons, muscles, fascia, soft tissues, and movement of the body. This is done by Dr. Arevalo's advanced skills in palpation. X-rays are rarely needed.

Neurological and Orthopedic Examination

The subluxation complex assessment requires a thorough neurological and orthopedic examination. Deep tendon reflexes, sensory assessment, muscle strength, range of motion, measurements, and balance will be examined.

Chiropractic Care Plan

A thorough patient history and examination is important to establish your chiropractic care plan. The goals of chiropractic care are to decrease pain, improve range of motion, decrease muscle spasms. increase strength, and improve balance.
