Veterans: Chiropractic & Acupuncture Through VA Community Care in Edinburg TX

A person pointing to their middle back as a chiropractor looks.

Serving those who served. We proudly care for Veterans in Edinburg TX, through the VA Community Care Network (CCN) when care is authorized by VA. We are not part of the Department of Veterans Affairs and are not endorsed by VA. We simply partner with VA’s network so eligible Veterans can receive high-quality chiropractic and acupuncture care closer to home.

Who May Be Eligible for Veterans Care in Edinburg TX

Eligibility for community care is determined by VA, not by our clinic. In general, Veterans may qualify when:

  • VA authorizes care based on clinical need, or
  • Access standards apply (e.g., long drive time or wait time), or
  • A VA clinician determines community care is in your best medical interest.

Important: You must have a VA referral/authorization before receiving VA-covered services at our clinic (except in limited emergency scenarios as defined by VA). Without authorization, you may be responsible for charges.

How It Works (Step-by-Step)

  • Talk to your VA provider. Request a consult for chiropractic and/or acupuncture with Dr. Arevalo if you choose the Edinburg clinic and Dr. Alfredo Robles if you choose our Mission clinic.
  • VA reviews eligibility and, if approved, issues an authorization to our clinic through the Community Care Network (administered in our region by TriWest).
  • We contact you to schedule once we receive the authorization.
  • We provide care according to the VA-approved treatment plan.
  • We bill VA/CCN directly for authorized services.

What We Treat (When Medically Appropriate)

  • Neck and back pain, herniated discs, radiculopathy, sprain/strain, headaches
  • Joint pain (shoulder, hip, knee), overuse and sports-related issues
  • Muscular tension, trigger points, limited range of motion
  • Post-accident musculoskeletal complaints (as clinically indicated)

Treatment plans are individualized. Frequency, duration, and specific services depend on clinical findings and VA authorization.

  • Chiropractic Care: spinal/extremity manipulation or mobilization, therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, home-care guidance, electrotherapy
  • Acupuncture: acupuncture needle techniques (with or without electrical stimulation), auricular protocols, adjunctive non-needle techniques when appropriate, Battlefield Acupuncture
  • Rehab & Self-Management Education: posture, mobility, strength, ergonomics, and flare-up planning
